These are some evocative designs. I like the idea of a set representing not a PLACE but the BIG IDEA of the play. All of the elements each telling a part of the story through metaphorical images and feelings evoked from the set design itself. So challenging, but so much more interesting than a traditional realistic set.

QUESTIONS: How could a set represent not a place but an idea? What did you find interesting about his designs? How can you design a place based on the FEELINGS that a place creates instead of the VISUAL IMAGES?
