Access to CANVAS and a PORTFOLIO (folder with pockets and paper for journal writing.) That is it. Plus your amazing self, bring that with you everyday.


YOUR STORY BECOMES YOUR GRADE

50% of your grade comes from things you do in class; projects, participation, paperwork, & performances. The other 50% comes from a one on one meeting with me every 9 weeks where you will tell me what you learned about yourself this past 9 weeks, what goals did you set for yourself and obtain, & how you have changed this last 9 weeks.


LIFE LINES not deadlines

I will set due dates for things. Those are LIFELINES, not deadlines. You can turn anything in during the 9 weeks grading period. IF you turn something in on or before the due date, you will receive feedback and constructive growing points on your performance or project. Once the due date has passed, you can still earn full credit for whatever you turn in BUT you will not receive feedback. ALSO, before the due date you can ask me any questions or clarification about a performance, project, or paperwork BUT once the due date has passed I will no longer answer questions about the assignment. I will direct you to the online directions. That is why is it a LIFELINE to work at the pace set for you, that gives you feedback and the ability to ask questions. BUT you can always turn things in as long as the grading period is open for that experience.

Show up, be real, & try the experiences that happen along our journey. YOU are the most important thing in this classroom. Theatre is about humans and stories. You are a human and you have a story. I can’t wait to hear your story and watch it unfold this year in our classroom.
